A class on how to make your mailbox “holiday ready” will be held Wednesday, Nov. 15, 10 to 11 a.m. at UF/IFAS Nassau Extension-Yulee office, 86026 Pages Dairy Road, Yulee.
Master Gardener Carol Ann Atwood and holiday decorator Sylvie Baxter will teach the Landscape Matters, “Holiday Mailbox Decorating” class and show how to use cuttings from your own yard, such as magnolia, spruce, pine, palmetto, Pittosporum, palms, holly with berries, etc. and ornamental decor.
An optional “make and take” session will allow pre-registered attendees to make their holiday mailbox decoration. The lecture is free and open to the public; the make and take fee is $20, to cover cost of the supplies. Make out checks to Nassau County Extension and drop off at either the Callahan or Yulee Extension offices. The Yulee office has a mail slot when the office is unattended.
